Washington – Congressional Gun Violence Prevention Task Force Chairman Mike Thompson (CA-05) announced that Member-Elect Mike Levin (CA-49) has joined the Task Force for the 116th Congress.

“I look forward to working with my colleagues to prevent gun violence as a member of the Gun Violence Prevention Task Force.” Said Member-Elect Levin. “From an assault weapons ban to expanding background checks on all gun sales, there is much we can do to make our country a safer place for our children, and this Task Force provides an avenue to do so. I look forward to getting to work on this in the new Congress.”

“Mike understands the gravity of our work to prevent gun violence and will be an important voice on our Task Force,” said Chairman Thompson. “It’s with voices like his that I know we can pass meaningful legislation to address gun violence and help keep our communities safe.”

The Gun Violence Prevention Task Force was established after the tragedy at Sandy Hook.

Congratulations Mike!
I campaigned for you and Harley Rouda with the Westside Democratic Headquarters bus volunteers.
I used to live in Reston, VA and raised my three sons there before returning to live in SoCal, nearly five years ago.
Let me know if you need administrative support in your D.C. office. I am very interested in working for either you or Congressman Rouda.

I have lived in Dana Point California for 25 years, I did not vote for you, but if you do a good job I might consider it in the future. The main thing I want from you is to support Donald Trump and his plan for border security at our Southern border. The Democrats are holding the American people hostage by not allowing the president to do his sworn duty to keep us safe. It is appalling. Please do not support these radical progressives, it will not do well for your reelection.
