Congressmember Adam Schiff endorses Democrat Mike Levin for Congress.
Congressmember Adam Schiff has announced his endorsement of clean energy advocate Mike Levin for Congress in California’s 49th District.
“At this moment of constitutional peril, we need leaders in the House of Representatives who are committed to an aggressive and impartial pursuit of the truth,” stated Congressmember Schiff. “I am deeply impressed with Mike Levin’s intelligence, determination and temperament. He has the skills to be an outstanding Representative and an effective voice for all the residents of his District. I am proud to endorse Mike Levin for Congress and look forward to serving with him.”
Congressmember Schiff, the ranking Democrat on the House Intelligence Committee, has won wide plaudits for his leadership in unearthing the facts concerning the possibility of collusion between the Presidential campaign of Donald Trump and the Russian government. Schiff was elected to Congress in 2000 after serving as a California State Senator and an Assistant U.S. Attorney.
“I could not be more honored,” replied Mike Levin. “Congressman Schiff is not only a personal hero, but a sterling model of what one informed and persistent individual, armed with the Constitutional system of checks and balances, can do to resist the slide toward autocracy. The American system works, but only when remarkable leaders like Adam Schiff stand up and demand accountability. I am humbled to have earned his confidence and support.”
Mike Levin is running a powerful campaign to replace Republican Darrell Issa in CA49. Levin grew up in South Orange County, attended Stanford and Duke University Law School. Today, Mike Levin works as an expert in the field of clean energy, sustainable power generation and transportation. Mike, his wife Chrissy and their two children live in San Juan Capistrano.
